Exposure
Managing the sanitation of a hospital is much more complicated than managing a small clinic. Sanitation and scheduling of Imagen’s five-room clinic is easily maintained between appointments and prevents patients from sharing a waiting room with others. Surgery in a hospital exposes patients to a variety of health risks they wouldn’t be exposed to at a private health clinic. All Imagen doctors and staff members wash their hands and use hand sanitizer between patients in addition to sanitizing all equipment and surfaces with medical-grade cleaner.
Safety
At Imagen, we use local anesthesia during body sculpting surgeries where hospitals typically use general anesthesia. Local anesthesia keeps patients comfortable during their procedure without being unconscious. While many patients tend to fall asleep because they are so relaxed, they are able to stay awake and notify the doctors of any questions or discomfort. Local anesthesia also allows the patient to naturally maintain their own vitals (pulse, temperature, oxygen, and blood pressure), which isn’t the case with general anesthesia. During surgeries with general anesthesia, an anesthesiologists uses various medications to maintain patient vitals. In the rare case of an emergency, Imagen is equipped to address on site.
Recovery
In addition to the surgical benefits, using local anesthesia allows for post-op functionality which is important for blood flow. Imagen doctors recommend movement immediately after surgery to promote circulation and prevent clotting during recovery. As an independent clinic, Imagen is able to foster relationships and give special attention to each patient where a hospital is tasked with juggling hundreds or thousands of patients hourly. Regardless of the treatment, our staff makes it a point to be attentive and available for all patients through each phase of treatment.
Cost
Hospital visits are expensive and it’s not uncommon for patients to be surprised by unexpected bills in the mail. When it comes to cost, Imagen makes sure to include everything in the proposal so patients aren’t caught off guard with unexpected fees. Furthermore, there are several expenses patients can avoid by choosing to have liposuction at an outpatient clinic instead of a hospital. At Imagen, everything from your consultation and post-op appointments to your compression garments and recovery products are outlined in your proposal prior to surgery.
